They created craft unions to present as a uniform effort and push for political support.
They opposed immiegration which was the source of labor for factories pushing craftsmen out of work. 

They were not successful as factories created cheaper items at a faster rate than the craftsmen could. The country was growing economically under the factory system and owners of those industries gained political power.

The workers in the American society fought against the revolution by protesting that unskilled machine operators were taking over their jobs.

The revolution also led to changes in the living conditions of the people that were in the society. This led to the creation of worker unions that would protest the ill treatments that the workers were subjected to.

Workers faced worse living conditions in their housing quarters. They were exposed to a lot of risks and dangers in their place of work.
