A 25ml sample of an unknown hclo4 solution requires titration with 22.62ml of 0.200m naoh to reach the equivalence point. what is the concentration of the unknown hclo4 solution

Respuesta :

The  concentration  of HClO4  is  calculated  as  follows

write  the  equation  for  the  reaction

NaOH  + NClO4  =  Na ClO4   +  H2O

find  the  moles  of  NaOh  that is  moles  =  molarity   x volume /1000

= 22.62ml  x 0.200 /1000 =  4.524  x10^-3 moles

by   use of  mole  ratio   between  NaOh  to  HClO4  which  is  1:1  the  moles  of   HClO4  is= 4.524  x10 ^-3  moles

concentration  =  moles /volume  x1000

= (4.524 x10^-3)/25  x1000  =  0.18 M
