Weight = (mass) x (gravity)

             = (45.4 kg) x (9.8 m/s²)

            =       444.9 Newtons .  (roughly 100.09 pounds)

That's the weight of the barbell, and it doesn't matter if it was dropped.
It could be on the shelf at the sporting goods store, or standing up on
end in the closet, or rusting at the bottom of a huge tank of chicken soup.
No matter where on Earth it is or what it's doing, it weighs 444.9 Newtons.
