In the case of embolic stroke, time is essential to administer anti-coagulant so that the blood flow to the brain or heart will be restored and an irreversible injury will be avoided. In addition, during an embolic stroke, a blood clot forms and breaks loosely. Then, it will travel to another spot and split itself into a narrower blood vessel. Therefore, a clot-buster must be immediately given to dissolve the clot and save the patient's life.
