Watching my daughter try to be independent is like watching grass grow.
He was so determined to go to the game, he was busy as a bee trying to finish his chores.
The sun was eager to greet us this morning.
These are examples of figurative language using similes and personification (ie. the sun cannot be eager and it cannot greet; those are human characteristics.) Like watching grass grow means my daughter is verrrry slow. Lol. And busy as a bee means he worked very hard.
Hope this helps! :)
