Hibernation is an adaptation mechanism for some animals
which live in extremely cold climates. This
process is characterized by reduced body temperatures, slow breathing, and
decreased heart rate. The aim of doing this is to lessen metabolic activities
which in return will preserve energy reserves which will enable an animal to go
through a winter season
