the major goal of the early labor unions were better wages, reasonable hours and safer working conditions.

Although there are fundamental differences in structure and objectives, the guild has been cited as a precedent of the modern union in terms of worker organization. When the Industrial Revolution began, it was forbidden to carry out workers' associations and it was qualified as a criminal offense. This occurred from 1776 to 1810. That is why there were no unions. After this time in several countries there was the so-called stage of tolerance where workers' societies were accepted, "mutual aid" or "resistance", without influencing the laws dictated by the state. Some of the main objectives were to obtain better salaries, reasonable working hours and safer working conditions.
