PART A AND B ARE BOTH ANSWERED AT THE END OF THE QUESTION:)convert her walking speed from mph to feet per hour.
3 times 5,280=15,840 feet---her speed per hour.
15,840/60=264 feet-----her speed per minute
THEREFORE: 5 times 264=1,320 feet----that she walked when you started, or: 1,320/5,280=1/4 of a mile she walked in 5 minutes.
Part B)
3 times 5,280=15,840 feet---her speed per hour.
15,840/60=264 feet-----her speed per minute
THEREFORE: 5 times 264=1,320 feet----that she walked when you started, or: 1,320/5,280=1/4 of a mile she walked in 5 minutes.
