The answer is Roe v. Wade. This is a landmark choice gave out in 1973 by the United States Supreme Court on the subject of the constitutionality of laws that outlawed or limited access to abortions. The Court ruled 7–2 that a right to privacy in the Due Process Clause of the 14th Amendment prolonged to a woman's choice to have an abortion, but that this right must be stable in contradiction of the state's interests in regulating abortions: caring women's health and keeping the potentiality of human life.
