list three ways by which phosphates are transferred from the land to water. Explain how these might impact the environment and human health

Respuesta :

Phosphates generally come from fertilizer,  erosion of phosphate-containing rocks. They are fertilizers, so they tend to strongly encourage growth, particularly of bacteria and algae. This can  harm ecologists, particularly in water, and particularly where there isn't a very robust growth medium already, e.g. in cold or desert waters. This impacts the environment and our health because we use tap water for cooking, bathing, brushing teeth, and so on, and water can be contaminated because of all of this pollution going around.

Answer: by underground fertilizer penetration, erosion of rocks that contain phosphate and by excretion of some farm animals. In these cases, the water pollution causes algae to grow profusely, and oxygen levels on water decrease sharply. The living organisms that depend on oxygen to survive underwater, such as fish, die of suffocation, causing more pollution, bacteria growth, terrible problems on food chains, etc. If humans depend on these fish to survive, by feeding of it or selling it, it might as well cause social problems such as starvation and poverty.
