A summary of your educational background should be included because it will tell the potential employer if you have an appropriate level of education and/or degree for the position.
Autobiographical information such as where you grew up, who your parents are, and other personal information should not be included in a resume as these should not determine whether or not you should get the job. They do not show your qualifications. If they are somehow relevant, they should be included in the cover letter which gives a more personal picture of who you are as a person. This is also true of any hobbies that may not be job related.
