Respuesta :

The Black Death, or Black Plague

The correct answer is the Black Death. The Black Death was a deadly plague that struck Europe in the mid-fourteenth century. It is thought to have originated in Asia, where it travelled along the Silk Road, reaching Europe by 1347. The disease was transmitted from person to person or by the bite of infected fleas and rats, and the most common symptom was the appearance of buboes (this is why it is also called the Bubonic Plague) in the groin, the neck and armpits, which oozed pus and bled when opened. This pestilence is estimated to have killed almost one-third of the total population of Europe in just a few years.
