Well when you divide fractions you are actually using multiplication. Dividing is the same as multilying by the reciprocal
Answer:
When we are multiplying any two fractions, we do the following:
[tex]\frac{a}{b} \times\frac{c}{d}[/tex]
And when we are dividing two fractions, we do the following:
[tex]\frac{ \frac{a}{b} }{ \frac{c}{d} }[/tex]
We solve such problems by multiplying but we take the reciprocal of denominator.
It will look like [tex]\frac{a}{b} \times\frac{d}{c}[/tex]
So, basically we are multiplying in both conditions. This is why these are similar.
