What brought about the formation of the Whig Party? Describe the evolution of its political fortunes in the 1830s and 1840s
The Whigs was formed by some disgruntled legislators who were against some economic policies of the then President Andrew Jackson of the United States in the mid-1930s. Those people supported the creation of a second National Bank of the United States but President Andrew Jackson vetoed the bill and this other economic policies caused the people to create the Whigs Party in order to go against the Democratic Government in poer at that time during the elections.
