An attribute that can be broken down into smaller parts is called a composite attribute. It is one of the attributes used in database management. Example of these are values that can be broken down int meaningful sub-values which include Name (First Name, Middle Name, Last Name).
A composite attribute is made up of more than one simple attribute, which means that the simple attributes can be isolated, or separated. This applies in science, when referencing atoms and molecules, this also applies to data management, when values are inputted into a system and compiled, for instance, if a person was to enter their full name into a computer, their first name could be separated from their last name because those are both seperate, simple attributes that, when joined, form a composite attribute
