The lymph nodes produce lymphocytes that assists in immunity from disease. These are one of the many types of white blood cells that is produced in the body. These are being produced by the lymph nodes wherein it protects the body from infection. Lymphocytes are classified into NK cells, T cells and B cells. When the levels of these cells are not in the normal zone, then most likely infection is present. When it is high, it is a sure sign that a viral infection is present. When it is low, the body would become susceptible to infections. So, it is very important that the concentration of these cells in the body is kept on the normal range.
