What is the volume of the composite figure?
1,200 units3
4,400 units3
5,040 units3
6,000 units3

Answer-
The volume of the composite figure is 6000 unit³
Solution-
The composite figure consists of two figures. i.e right rectangular prism and triangular prism.
So,
[tex]V_{Total}=V_{\text{Right rectangular prism}}+V_{\text{Triangular prism}}[/tex]
Right rectangular prism-
It has a base of 15×12 dimension and height of 20, so
[tex]V_{\text{Right rectangular prism}}=\text{Area of base}\times \text{Height}=15\times 12\times 20=3600\ unit^3[/tex]
Triangular prism
Its base is a triangle with base length as 15, base height as 16 and height of 20, so
[tex]V_{\text{Triangular prism}}=\text{Area of base}\times \text{Height}=\dfrac{1}{2}\times 15\times 16\times 20=2400\ unit^3[/tex]
Therefore, [tex]V_{Total}=3600+2400=6000\ unit^3[/tex]
