Rectangle A is similar to rectangle B. Rectangle B has sides that are 4 times longer than rectangle A. What is the relationship between the perimeters of rectangles A and B A. The perimeter of rectangle A is equal to the perimeter of
rectangle B.
B. The perimeter of rectangle B is 4 times the perimeter of rectangle A.
C. The perimeter of rectangle B is 8 times the perimeter of rectangle A.
D. The perimeter of rectangle B is one-fourth the perimeter of
rectangle A.

Respuesta :

The answer is option B.
let the sides of rectangle A be x and y
so the sides of rectangle B will be 4x and 4y
perimeter of recyangle A= 2(l+b)
                                           =2(x+y)
                                           =2x+2y
perimeter of rectangle B=2(l+b)
                                          = 2(4x+4y)
                                          =2*4(x+y)
                                          = 8 (x+y)
Therefore their ratio= 8(x+y) / 2(x+y)
                                  =4/1
Therefore Perimeter of rectangle B is 4 times perimeter of rectangleA
Hope I helped!
B.The perimeter of rectangle b  is 4 times the perimeter of rectangle a.
