I would say a defense attorney makes the most sense.
A prosecutor does not have the same communication skills, and his job is to find information that will convict a defendant. An assistant district attorney is generally the same thing, whereas a defense attorney works well with people and works towards convincing the judge that the defendant does not deserve to be convicted of a crime(s).
