Comparison of Cassio and Iago In Shakespeare's Othello, the characters Iago (Othello's ensign) and Cassio (Othello's friend and lieutenant) are contrasted in many different ways. The most crucial and significant difference between Iago and Cassio is their attitudes.

Iago: Villain, Flag bearer, Savage, Racist, Greedy and jealous for his own needs (green eyed)

Othello: Hero, General, Black (Moor), Desdemona's husband, gullible (weakness), great honor and strength (At the beginning), jealous (At the end)

Hope it helps!
