Shelia made a scale drawing of a room the acual room has a weidth of 16ft and length of 24ft her drawing has a length of 3 inches what is the width in inches

this is just a ratio problem
normally we would turn feet into inches but that doesn't matter in this problem

16/24= x/3
24/3=8 so she scaled it 8 times smaller
so 16/8= 2

so the width is 2 inches
