Personally I think the government benefits while at the same time not benefitting from genetic testing. Genetic testing can help the government by finding how to stop disease or find it and then the government can create a drug and make profit. The government also doesn't benefit because before 23andme (a genetic testing website) could tell you diseases and disorders you had, people could prevent these things early saving them money and making the government lose. The FDA later told them to stop that and only tell us certain things. (Sorry that this was long. XD)
