There is a sales tax of $12 on an item that costs $126 before tax. A second item costs $105 before tax. What is the sales tax on the second item?

What is needed is the rate at which items are taxed
tax/before tax price = rate
12/126=0.09523
0.09523 * 105=9.99915
so the tax is $10
