1. Which best describes Mary’s and Colin's transformations: Do they become new or different people, or do they become the people they always were inside?

1. Yes they both become different people on the outside and on the inside.


2. I believe so because Colin used to be so frail on the outside and now he is walking and can do basic things by himself. Also on the inside he is different because her not always crying and plus he is starting to care about himself and others. Now he believes he has a reason to be on the earth. Mary changed physically because she is not so skinny and bony like. She changed on the outside because she wasn't so "cold" she is now caring and not so spoiled. She also learned to dress herself and not let a maid or servant do it for her.

COlin changes externally in the way that he was weak, skinny, and crippled. Then when discovering the secret garden that all changes. Internal changes for Colin include sympathy and Empathy. For Mary, she stopped getting pampered, or getting everything done for her. She used to be treated like a baby because she didnt want to do anything. Mary changed internally in the way that she stopped this habit of being babysitted all the time. Mary doesnt necessarily have an external change though.
