The poem  “Though You Are Grown” by Cynthia Sieving talks about a mom reflecting on how she nurtured her growing child while he was still a baby. She notices how his experiences with has shaped him emotionally and she has mixed feelings about it. She feels like crying, but she also feels pride for the growth she sees in her son. She notices that her child is no longer the baby she has to nurture and protect from the world. Her son has grown to stand up for himself.
