Dule is cutting a 12 4/5 foot piece of wood to make shelves for his bedroom. Does Duke have enough wood to make four shelves measuring 2 7/8 feet each?

12 4/5 > 2 7/8 (4)
Yes he has enough because 2×4=8 and 7/8×4=28/8.
28/8=3 1/2
8+3 1/2=11 1/2
Since File has 12 4/5 feet of wood and he uses 11 1/2 he has enough.
