Stanley miller's spark - discharge experiment demonstrated simple molecules can react to form Organic molecules under the conditions of earth's early atmosphere.
The Stanley miller in 1953, performed a experiment to describe the origin of life on earth. The mixture of methane , water, hydrogen and ammonia , which were found in early earth's atmosphere. these mixture were sealed in inside a test tubes. and flasks connected together in a loop. one flask is half filled with water and another one contains electrode. gases were circulated around apparatus imitating the earth's atmosphere.
The electrodes were used to spark fire to imitate light and storm through vapor. vapours were cooled and come back to first flask in continuous cycle. After a week he found amino acid and other organic compounds as a result of this experiment.
Hence, Stanley miller's spark - discharge experiment demonstrated simple molecules can react to form Organic molecules under the conditions of earth's early atmosphere.
