Poetry of Your Life

Music is timeless and encompasses so many things in our lives. From movies, weddings, celebration of life and to walk UP songs in a baseball game just to name a few. Most artists write songs about personal experiences, just ask Taylor Swift and Katy Perry. Tu Pac's THUG LIFE,The Hate U Give Little Infants *** Everybody,” takes on a timeless meaning.



Assignment: Imagine you are making a movie about your life, the movie is from your earliest memory to present day. We want you to create a soundtrack for that movie. I know there are some events you may want to remember or think about, but that is also an inspiration for many songs that have been written.



Directions and Requirements:

You must have between 5-10 songs
ONE song must be your walk up song, THIS song you will share with the class.
You must list the title and lyrics for each song AND explain why you chose that song. What event does it remind you of??
You must highlight or underline the lyrics that resonate with you the most.
You can decide how you want to share this with me. You can turn in via canvas, you can do it on paper. You can make a slideshow and include the actual music. BE CREATIVE and have fun with it.
HINT: You may want to list the major events that you would want to include in your movie FIRST.
