The 3 main categories of nutrients are proteins, lipids (also known as fats) and carbohydrates (also known as sugars).
A diet which contains an adequate amount of all nutrients such as carbohydrates, fats, proteins, vitamins, and minerals is called a balanced diet.
The food that a person eats in a day is called diet.
Also, our diet should contain roughage (raw uncooked vegetables)and water.
Thus, protein is the answer.
