Very often, test reports created by teachers and administrators are not appropriate for parents as single assessment cannot judge the ability and areas of the students. When it comes to sharing assessment result, teachers should always maintain the confidentiality of the students' data.

Professional learning communities is generally work with the teachers to discuss about the areas of improvement for the students and make the necessary changes in order to improve their learning.
If a student is presenting the summative assessment data, then it is necessary to convey him the importance of both the formative and summative assessments.
The basic difference in both type of assessment is that the Formative assessment focused on specific learning target, whereas, the summative assessment provides the information about the student's learning.
