What is the solution of the system?

5x - y = -7
3x - y = -2

5(-2.5)-(-5.5)=-7
3(-2.5)-(-5.5)=-2

4(18)+3(20)=12
7(18)+5(-20)=26

-3x + y = 2 (result of multiplying by -1)

x = -5/2 or - 2.5

5x - y = -7
5(-2.5) - y = -7

-12.5 + 7 = y
- 5.5 = y

solution is (-2.5 , -5.5)
