Dear John,
I am happy to be writing you in such a long while. I believe you and your family are hale and hearty. Ever since you left our school for the new one in your area, I have missed your company tremendously.
Last week, our school visited the Obudu Mountain resort in Calabar and it was an exciting experience. We lodged in a nearby guest house on the day of our arrival and set out to the ranch the next day. At the ranch, I saw a lot of exciting things. Several cable cars transported the students over the hills and mountains to the ranch. A tour guide led us to many interesting parts of the ranch such as the swimming pool, the Becheve Nature Reserve, and the many beautiful guest houses. We learned that the ranch was developed by Mr. Hugh Jones and Dr. Crawfield in 1951.
Apart from the interesting sights, I learned the importance of unity. All students were expected to be unified and peaceful throughout the duration of the excursion. We shared the little food we had and there was no bickering. I enjoyed the excursion and you would have enjoyed it too, were you still with us.
