what does this qoute “The liberties of a people never were, nor ever will be ,secure, when the transactions of their rulers may be concealed from them.”
It means that people can't truly be free if their governments are lying to them. How can you make informed decisions if you don't know the facts? How can you vote with absolute freedom when you can't imagine who would be better for office because you don't know what your government is doing or needing to do?
