Potatoes were brought to europe from the new world by spanish explorers, actually is one of the most important crop worldwide. When the plants blooms it comes out a beautiful flower the European loved.

In agriculture the tuber is more productive and simple to grow that cereals but it was necessary to adapt the conditions of the crop to be a source of food for the European continent.   It is easy to plant, does not need much water and has a very high nutritional density.
