I believe you wrote the wrong options for the first question. The defining feature of women's contribution to American and colonial literature is that they were underrepresented. They didn't have the rights that men did at the time, and they often wrote bout these things in their texts.
As for the second question, the purpose of the poem is D. to express, particularly, to express some feelings the narrator obviously has for the girl.
