The Battle of Midway was vital to the Pacific

B is utter nonsense. The atomic bombs were used just before Japan surrendered in August of 1945. They were dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki which was on Japan itself.

C is also not true. The attack on Pearl Harbor was launched from an Air Craft carrier.

A is true. But it is not the real reason for its importance. The real significance of Midway is that

it dashed Japan's hope of destroying the remaining American Fleet.
It was clearly an American Victory. From then on, Japan could never recover the loss they suffered at Midway. They could not compete with America's industrial might.

D is not really true. The American Forces were not close enough to invade Japan with her military might. America had to go about the business of island hopping to complete getting close enough that Japan would be hemmed in.
