I would say the symbolism or the theme. This is because in a moral conflict you can't dictate the difference between wrong or right, that's why it's a conflict. So the symbolism would be important to try to get what the conflict is resulting in, but I'd mainly say the theme because the theme of a story is the lesson and feel of the story.
