The organism will not be able to adapt, and the species will go extinct.

The organism will not be able to adapt, and the species will evolve into a new species.

The organism will adapt, and the species will evolve into a new species.

In three to five sentences, explain why birds have different lengths and shapes of beaks.(4 points)

Every extant animal has had to adapt to its environment in some ways over many generations. Think about your favorite animal, its physiological features, and its environmental challenges. Without doing any outside research, in 3-5 sentences, try to: a) describe what features have likely had to adapt to its environment over time, and b) hypothesize what ways it might have to adapt to environmental changes in the future.(4 points)

In honey bee colonies, the queen produces sterile offspring that protect the nest and forage for food. Assess how this altruistic behavior may have arisen through natural selection. Explain your answer in one to two sentences.(2 points)

All species have a maximum tolerance limit before they are no longer suited to live in their environment. In three to five sentences, discuss the potential outcomes for a species when that maximum limit is reached. There are at least four possibilities, and one point will be assigned per potential outcome mentioned.(4 points)

Answer:

The organism will not be able to adapt, and the species will go extinct.

Explanation:

I feel like we could rule out these two because they don´t make much sense.

The organism will not be able to adapt, and the species will evolve into a new species.

The organism will adapt, and the species will evolve into a new species.

so that leaves us with the other two answers and I believe the first one is the most fitting

An example I found to support this is that polar bears could disappear by 2100 due to melting ice, In this case, the polar bears are the species, and the melting ice is the rapid change. since they are so well adapted to their environment, they cannot adjust from such a major change.

Use of electric vehicles, reduce the use of biofuels and promoting more sustainable uses of land and growing more forest are the some ways that mitigate climate change.

There are four potential outcomes for a species when that maximum limit is reached i.e. the organism will not be able to adapt, and the species will go extinct.  The second possibility is that organism will not be able to adapt and the species will evolve into a new species.

The third possibility is that organism will adapt, and the species will evolve into a new species.  The fourth possibility is that organism will adapt, and the species will evolve to fit its new environment.
