My teachers always said to do analysis as if you are explaining to a blind person what the picture is.
For example within this picture you can observe a man wearing a white shirt with a white baggy track suit with brown boots holding a sword with his right hand with the tip downward toward the ground. The man is making a pose with his left hand on his hip. the background is red with a gold floral pattern which the vines of it overlap his pants of his track suit. The photo has no depth or shadows of the man making it appear one dimensional to the background where you only see the three dimensional elements in the face body and clothes. The colours of red white and gold contrast and create a regal image because of the colours. The image is united by the background overlap to the person.
