Now, have a go at turning the extract from Kathleen Jamie into your own poem entitled 'The Gannet'

Gannets glitter. They're made for vision, shine in any available light, available to see and be seen. Their eyes are round and fierce, with a rim of weird blue, and they are adapted to see down through the surface reflections of the sea. There, they take what they need – and what they don't. Less patrician poet, more bargain hunter.

Gannets are bitter and not glitter

They're different you may not taste

the same bitterness as I do you may see it as

glitter but they're not the same one you may see as

round and fierce blue eyes while others see a sour and

bitter lemon.Some may see through a reflection while

others see a fogy cloud.Some may see the truth while

others are hidden by the lies.Never choose between the

lies and the truth because you never know which one it is.

I made it different because we all have a difference and see different things also I couldn't really think of a better way to change her words and make it a poem but hope this helps have a nice day.Or night.
