They were not happy about being taxed for all of their paper products, and they were even less happy that their taxes did not help their community or representation in any way. They wanted it repealed along with many other taxes as they were paying their government unnecessary amounts. If you were having money taken away from you for no reason, how would you feel? I would want it to stop just like the colonists did.
