There are many definitions of what a "hero" is to society, but is every hero the same? Is every hero actually heroic? The answer is actually a no, as Oedipus Rex is a tragic hero. Even though many people believe heroes are to fight off evil and do good, Oedipus is the opposite of that, and for multiple reasons.
