Okay I took this Commonlit assignment before so I’m assuming it was B or A. I’m more going with B because her mom thought it was foolish. Let me know in the comments.

Answer: I believe that it is “That one’s not your friend. You know what you are to them? The maid’s daughter, that’s what.” In paragraph 7.
