The Organized labor was famous for the Strike been held nationwide during the late nineteenth century. It was believed that growth of big business and vast industrial workforce lead to the organized strike.
The Labor action during the end of 19th century involved lot of violence and thousands of strikes.
The notable reason the organized labor unions fought for are:
- Improved wages
- Reasonable and favorable work hours
- Safer working conditions
However, the government did not intervene on behalf of the workers, rather its sided the management as well as sending in forces to break strikes up.
