Answer:
B
Step-by-step explanation:
I placed the numbers in order to make it easier
I made every other random sample bold to show how many go to each fish type which might not make sense to you but it does in my head lol
A. Let number 1 represent bass, numbers 2 through 4 represent bluegill, and numbers 5 through 10 represent catfish.
1,1,2,3,3,4,5,6,7,7,8,8,9,10,10
There are 2 "number 1" represented as bass
There are 4 "number 2-4" represented as bluegill
There are 9 "number 5-10" represented by catfish
A. 2 bass, 4 bluegill, 9 catfish
B. Let numbers 1 and 2 represent bass, numbers 3 through 8 represent bluegill, and numbers 9 and 10 represent catfish.
1,1,2,3,3,4,5,6,7,7,8,8,9,10,10
There are 3 "number 1-2" represented as bass
There are 9 "number 3-8" represented as bluefish
There are 3 "number 9-10" represented as catfish
B. 3 bass, 9 bluegill, 3 catfish
C. Let numbers 1 through 3 represent bass, numbers 4 through 7 represent bluegill, and numbers 8 through 10 represent catfish.
1,1,2,3,3,4,5,6,7,7,8,8,9,10,10
There are 5 "number 1-3" represented as bass
There are 5 "number 4-7" represented as bluegill
There are 5 "number 8-10" represented as catfish
C. 5 bass, 5 bluegill, 5 catfish
It cant be A because bass and catfish both are equal amounts stocked so the numbers should be equal in the random selection.
It cant be C because bluegill has more stocked than bass and catfish so the number shouldn’t all be equal in the random selection.
Answer B has bass and catfish both at equal numbers and bluegill is the highest number in the random selection and stocked.
So B is the answer
I haven't submitted my test yet on this question but I'm pretty sure its B.
Also sorry if my explanation doesn't make any sense at all
I love math lol <3
