- Economic : if the issues are related to finance and resources

Everyone chose a different book but for my book, I chose "The Boy in the Striped Pajamas" by John Boyne. If you chose a different book, sorry I couldn't have helped. Here is my personal response to this question:

The Boy in The Striped Pajamas is about a little boy during the holocaust. The Holocaust itself already faces a lot of issues in society today. Political issues included were the way Germany governed. Governing was not great as they thought they were superior to the Jewish people and it would be a better place without them. The fact that Germans thought that Jewish people “didn’t matter” and couldn’t ever start a civilization fully shows a lot of social and cultural problems. Children in schools were taught to hate the Jewish and that is also a very large social/cultural problem shown during the time.
