So we have two equations.

y=35x+40

y=40x+17.5

We want to find the coordinates in which they intersect.

BUT They never intersect, They are parallel to each other leaving us with a

NO SOLUTION

When you are trying to solve for x you want to get rid of the y's and simply put on your paper:       35x+40 = 40x+17.5

Then you distribute, in which I am not going to show because that too many steps lol. But you'll get:

x=4.5
