Suppose that y varies directly as x and y=-9 when x=3. Find the value of x when y=18

Hello,

y=k*x
if x=3 then y=-9 ==>-9=k*3==>k=-3
if y=18 then 18=-3*x==>x=-6

Answer : x=-6
