If you trust God and believe in him all things you do for him you shall be blessed God will never ask you to do wrong and what he tells you or does for you is for a reason, at first you might not like what he's telling you to do but you can trust him. According to the Hebrew Bible, God commands Abraham to offer his son Isaac as a sacrifice. After Isaac is bound to an altar, a messenger from God stops Abraham before the sacrifice finishes, saying "now I know you fear God." Even though he didn't want to do this he still did believing in God.

Jonah was sent to the people of Ninevah by God to tell them to repent from their evil ways but, he refused and set sail to another country, in the middle of the ocean God sent a massive storm, and Jonah was swallowed by a big fish. jonah stayed in the belly of the fish for 3 days after which he prayed and repented, and the fish spat him out. After this, he had no choice other than to go to Nineveh and proclaim God's word to them.

And when Jonah preached to the people of Nineveh, they repented even their king had to put on sackcloth and sit in ashes

Although Jonah was angry that they repented, God was pleased because even the king repented.
