Why does Balthasar tell Romeo that Juliet is "well, and nothing can be ill"?
He is scared to tell Romeo the truth.
He knows that Juliet is not really dead.
He means that her soul is resting in heaven.
He does not know the news about Juliet.
Balthasar only knows that Juliet's body has been put into the Capulet's tomb. He thinks she is dead and doesn't know that her death was caused by a temporary sleeping potion.
